A glorious sunset and desolation

I clicked these pictures out in the desert last week.

The barren land really depressed me; miles and miles of it just stretching endlessly. Some parts of it was just soft sand just like in the movies but most parts were like in the above picture. Plants trying to grow but giving up after sometime due to lack of sufficient water.

The sunset was glorious and all the more special coz I didnt remmeber the last time I stood & watched the sun disappear into the horizon. All around me people were trying to capture the mood but I doubt any matched the original.

This picture sort of transported me into another world of nomads, tents and camels and search for water. Cant imagine how tough life must have been on the beduoins earlier; I say earlier coz now they have a lot of help from the goverment. Their kind are dwindling by the day for most prefer the better life the city offers and I cant really decide whether thats good or bad.

Anyways here the picture is just an illusion in the sense that those on the camel in the picture above are no beduoins just a few tourist who wanted to know how it felt atop camels; infact my daughter is riding on one of them:-)
