Familiar scenes from Kerala

Most of these pictures were taken while travelling in the train or car so the clarity is not the best but I'd like to think that I managed to capture the ambience;-)

U think I took the picture of the house, nope I clicked it for the path;-)

Just after a heavy downpour......

Actually unlike other states, cows on the road are a rare sight, no idea how they reached here;-o

And I clicked this for the well;-)
In some form or the other he is everywhere; Mamooty, Malayalam Superstar ;-)

Fish fry is sublime; the 2 u see in the plate are for the kids without spice u see, ours was smothered with chilli & pepper;-D

We stopped to buy duck here...u cant see it 'cause the shacks are behind me;-D

No train station in Kerala is empty which is why I just had to take the picture;-P

Nope, dont know him, clicked it more for the graffiti on the wall

This guy is as handsome as they come and he knew it;-)

Ammachi, great grandmother to my children, 90+ she passed away just 3 months back.

Most of these woman work in the nearby cashew nut factories or fields, they gather firewood on their way back home carrying it dextrously on their heads.

The glorious aroma of roasted cashewnuts had many of our neighbours peeping out of their windows;-D

Parumala Palli, a very famous church in Kerala

Hi,

The proof-reader in me has to contribute his two-bit! The famous church in Kerala is Parumala Palli! ... not as captioned by you. :))

Nice pictures of home - I liked the one taken after the downpour.

Cheers, J
